Police Blotter: Stolen iPods and Cell Phones, Warrant Arrest

Friday, Nov. 16

Theft Over $500

Yorkville Police are investigating the theft of two iPod Touches from a teacher's desk at Grande Reserve Elementary School. The iPods have a combined value of $500, according to the police report. Each iPod has “Learning Ally” engraved on the back. This is the second time the iPods were stolen, police reported.

Sunday, Nov. 25

Theft

A Yorkville juvenile reported two cellular telephones were stolen while she was at a Nov. 25 “gathering” at a Bristol residence, Kendall County deputies reported. The incident is under investigation.

Friday, Nov. 30

Battery

Kendall County deputies are investigating a fight that occurred in the parking lot of Suzy’s Bar on Nov. 30. By the time deputies arrived on the scene the fight had broken up, according to the report. Officers took statements from witnesses and are investigating.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Warrant Arrest

A 23-year-old Yorkville man was arrested by Kendall County sheriff’s deputies after initially being stopped for driving without rear registration lights. When deputies ran the license of David Thaddeus Belinski, 6792 Chicago Road, they discovered his license was suspended and there was a Will County warrant for arrest issued after he failed to appear before court on a suspended license charge. Belinski was also cited by Kendall County deputies for driving without a valid license, no rear registration lights and driving without proof of insurance.
