Possible Explosive Device Found in Yorkville
The device was found in an undeveloped area near Whitekirk Ln. and Callander Trail by a juvenile who brought it home.

YORKVILLE, IL — A possible explosive device brought police to the 1100 block of Homestead in Yorkville Monday evening.
Police arrived at the area at around 6:16 p.m. and found “an unknown device.” Surrounding homes were evacuated and the area where the device was found was secured.

The Kane County Bomb Squad took control of the device and cleared the area without incident, according to the Yorkville Police Department, and properly disposed of the device.
