Fire Officials: Nothing Detected After Carmel Building Evacuated Due To Strange Odor
Multiple people inside the North Meridian Street building fell ill due to odor, Carmel Fire Dept. crews did a thorough investigation.

CARMEL, IN - Carmel Fire Department officials report nothing was detected during a thorough investigation of an office building, following an evacuation due to a strange odor. Carmel Fire PIO @CFD911Runs tweeted out the following update just before 1 p.m. Thursday:
"After an extensive investigation, no levels were detected on our monitors. At this time the building has been cleared. People can return."
14 people were taken to the hospital after falling ill Thursday morning from the strange odor inside the Carmel office complex at 10401 N. Meridian St., Carmel Fire PIO reports.

The PIO's Twitter account @CFD911Runs reports the building was evacuated and Carmel Fire Department's Hazmat team was on scene investigating the building.
Crews were dispatched just before 11 a.m. as those inside the building were evacuated.
