Shannon Cardinal, the 43-year-old former Wisconsin high school teacher, has pleaded not guilty at her arraignment last Friday.

Teacher Accused of Sex with Marion Boy Pleads Not Guilty

The former Wisconsin teacher accused of having sex with a Marion teenage boy pleaded not guilty to six counts of sexual assault of a student and six counts of child enticement on Friday.

She also waved her right to a preliminary hearing.

As we've reported, Shannon Cardinal, the 43-year-old woman, was accused back in April of having a sexual relationship with a now 17-year-old Marion teen.

The relationship allegedly began when he was 16-years-old and attended Mayville High School in Mayville, WI. She later made trips to the Marion boy's home, according to police documents, after he had moved from Wisconsin earlier this year.

If convicted on all counts of each charge, she can receive up to 186 years in prison.
