Royal Farms Proposed For Route 40

Aberdeen could be welcoming a Royal Farms store to Route 40.

The site plan for the store has been approved by the Aberdeen planning commission, and was introduced at .

Mayor Michael Bennett announced Monday that council would not vote on the proposal, but rather a public work session will be held at 4 p.m. on April 16.

The store—which is proposed for 1.74-acre parcel at 744 S. Philadelphia Blvd.—is designed to have gas pumps and a car wash.

Aberdeen has a at the intersection of MD Route 22 and Middleton Road.

The site plan calls for 50 parking spaces at the store.
