City Fair Set for May, Will Feature Nonprofits

Local nonprofits will be given the opportunity to showcase its organizations and recruit volunteers during a fair at City Dock in May.

The city of Annapolis, in cooperation with the National Sailing Center & Hall of Fame (NSHOF), is seeking a variety of different organizations to participate in this year’s fair.

"Too often, the excellent nonprofit organizations that serve our city operate sight unseen,” said Mayor Joshua Cohen in a release. “This City Fair offers us a chance to showcase them. Through nonprofit participation in the City Fair, our residents and visitors can learn more about the services offered and the organizations participating can attract needed volunteers to their programs.”

There will not be a charge for participants and organizations will be able to fundraise as permitted by city code, according to a release.

Details on participation and registration are available by emailing info@nshof.org or calling 410-295-3022.

The city fair will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 11 and noon to 5 p.m. on May 12.
