Summertime means sandals and flip-flops, which also means a pedicure just might be necessary -- and a manicure for fun.

Well, if you don’t already have a nail salon that you’re completely dedicated to, Kosmo Nail Bar, located at 40 Randall St. in Annapolis, officially opened June 13. Mayor Michael Pantelides and Ward One Alderman Joe Budge welcomed the business at the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Also attending were Coordinator Consuella Caudill and MainStreets Annapolis Partnership Coordinator Lisa Craig.

“This is another great example of how our whimsical, diverse and unique businesses in Annapolis bring in tourism while accommodating the needs of our local residents,” Pantelides said.

The salon features a “Manitini” Bar and “Peditini” Bar, providing various manicures and pedicures. There’s also a “Bambi” Bar that offers services for children 12 and younger.

“Kosmo focuses on the most current trends in order to introduce the newest services available to the clients,” said Manager Bao Ngo.

So if the hands or feet need some grooming, Kosmo Nail Bar is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check out the website for more information.
