ANNAPOLIS, MD — A driver crashed into an Annapolis house early Sunday morning, causing serious damage that displace a couple and their two children, authorities say. Annapolis and Anne Arundel County fire departments were called to the 900 block of Bethany Court about 1:30 a.m. after a car slammed into a home.

The driver was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma by ambulance with unknown injuries from the crash, according to the Annapolis Fire Department. Police have not said what may have caused the accident. While the family was home at the time of the crash, they were not hurt and were able to evacuate the home.

An Annapolis building inspector was also called to asses the structural stability of the home, and determined it is uninhabitable.
