Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day at Annapolis Parade
The annual MLK Day Dream to Reality Parade starts at noon on Jan. 18. Parking at a city garage is free for spectators.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Dream to Reality Parade hits the streets of Annapolis on Monday, Jan. 18, starting from Amos Garrett Boulevard at noon.
The parade will travel down West Street to Church Circle, around the circle to Main Street, down Main Street, and end at City Dock. Streets along the route will close at noon and are expected to remain closed until about 2 p.m.
The parade will include the United States Naval Academy Band, Asbury Broadneck United Methodist Church Choir, the Wiley H. Bates Summer Leadership Academy, and the Annapolis Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Vice Admiral Derwood C. Curtis, USN (ret.) and Midshipman Demond Brown are two of the nine Grand Marshals in this year’s parade.

Parade sponsors are the Annapolis Drum and Bugle Corps and the City of Annapolis.
The Hillman Parking Garage will be open to the public, free of charge, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 18 to accommodate local businesses and those attending the parade. Regular garage pricing at the Hillman Garage will resume at 3 p.m.
