From a news release:
Beginning today, June 23, and continuing until Thursday, June 26, Green Street will be periodically closed at Duke of Gloucester Street between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for a sewer manhole installation, the city warns drivers.
The goal is to minimize the closing Green Street completely. Residents of Green Street have been notified. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use caution in the performance of your duties while in this area at this time.
Also beginning today, the city is planning to begin sidewalk repair on Compromise Street. Work will be performed under a traffic control plan and traffic will be maintained, although some lanes may be closed or shifted.
When the work is ongoing between St. Mary's Street and the Spa Creek Bridge, traffic leaving downtown Annapolis will be detoured up St. Mary's Street and then onto Duke of Gloucester Street. This is to address any back up issues when the bridge opens.
This work is expected to be completed, or at a stopping point, by the close of business on July 2 to accommodate the Fourth of July weekend traffic
