2 Men Arrested For Shooting, Break-In Near Laurel

Two men were arrested for a home invasion and shooting on Edge Rock Way in Anne Arundel County, police said.

ANNE ARUNDEL, MD — Two men were arrested early Tuesday morning for a home invasion and shooting on Edge Rock Way that occurred Sunday in Anne Arundel County, according to reports.

Police arrested Dangelo Edward Fowler, 23, of Clinton, Maryland and Jerron Marquise Berry, 23, of Glen Burnie, Maryland for home invasion, attempted murder, assault, handgun charges and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, WTOP reports.

At around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to an emergency call in the 8100 block on Edge Rock Way near Laurel. Responding officers found two men inside the house with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, police said.

Police determined the two suspects, Fowler and Berry, knocked on the door of the house and eventually forced their way inside. A struggle ensued and the two victims were shot, police said.

Fowler and Berry then fled the scene in a silver car, traveling at high speed with its headlights off, police said. Responding officers spotted the car and conducted a traffic stop, and a witness who was brought to the scene identified the car's occupants as the shooting suspects, police said.

Police also found a large amount of marijuana and cash inside the car.

Detectives currently believe this was a targeted incident. The investigation remains active and anyone with information is asked to call the Western District Detective Unit at 410-222-6155.
