Anne Arundel Patch: What was the winning word you spelled correctly during your school’s spelling bee? 
Julia Leney:
Conqueror

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like about your school?
Julia: We have really good music curriculums and I love that we have music 4 times a week.

Anne Arundel Patch: Do you participate in extracurricular activities or sports?
Julia: I do horseback riding, piano, and clarinet. I am on the Key School Equestrian Team.

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you want to do when you grow up?
Julia: A large animal veterinarian

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like to do for fun?
Julia: I like to read, practice clarinet, take walks, or play with my pets (Mickey the dog and Eva the cat).

Julia is one of 32 students set to compete in the 25th annual Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee on Feb. 23. Patch congratulates all of the students on making it to the county competition!
