Anne Arundel County police are searching for a suspect in a robbery at a Glen Burnie gas station on Thursday evening.
Police said the suspect targeted a couple who were filling up their vehicle at a gas station in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway.
When the vehicle's driver got out to pump gas, the suspect entered the driver's side of the car and demanded money and the woman's purse, which she gave him.
As the suspect walked away, the driver accosted him.
"The suspect then demanded money from the husband, pointing his index finger at him as if it were a handgun," according to the police report.
The driver told the man he had no money, and the suspect fled on foot with the purse.
Several officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male between 40-60 years old, 5'11" tall, with a very thin build, a goatee, decaying teeth, spoke with a Southern accent, had a tattoo on left side of neck, and was last seen wearing a dark blue hat and a dark blue sweater.
