Wife Murdered, Husband Arrested: Baltimore Police

Police said that a 41-year-old woman who had suffered head trauma was found deceased Sunday afternoon.

BALTIMORE, MD — A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of his wife over the weekend, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Charles Ruffin, 48, was taken into custody in another jurisdiction and will be extradited back to the city, police reported Monday night.

At 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, officers said they found a woman unresponsive with head trauma in the 1700 block of Appleton Street, after searching the area while responding to a request to check-on-the-well-being of those in the area.

Tiffany Ruffin, 41, was pronounced deceased at the scene despite attempts to save her, police said.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Charles Ruffin, who was apprehended outside Baltimore City.
