Bel Air Firefighters Snuff Out Car Fire on Bel Air Bypass

Lanes were reportedly closed as first responders put out blaze.

As many commuters were on the way to work Friday, firefighters were putting out a blaze on the Bel Air Bypass, officials said.

At 7:30 a.m., the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported that it responded to a car fire near MD Route 24 on the bypass.

All lanes on the bypass were closed before 8 a.m. in the area between Conowingo Road and Route 24, according to WXCY.

There were no injuries as a result of the fire, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
