UPDATE (7:25 p.m.)—A head-on collision claimed the life of an 18-year-old Forest Hill woman Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:14 p.m. a head-on collision took place in the area of Old Joppa Road and Mountain Road in Fallston, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Kloiber with the Maryland State Police Bel Air Barrack.

Hanna Mackensie Kriss, 18, of the 100 block of Theodora Court in Forest Hill, was driving north on Mountain Road when her 1999 Saturn crossed the double-yellow line in the area of Old Joppa Road, according to a release from state police.

The Saturn sideswiped a 2011 Toyota Avalon, driven by 44-year-old Sandy Rohe of the 2500 block of Beverly Drive in Joppa, according to police.

The Saturn continued on the wrong side of the road after hitting the Avalon and hit a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban head-on. Rohe was not injured in the crash, but Hoch was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment and Burke was taken Bayview Medical Center. Neither men suffered life-threatening injuries.
