Deck Collapse Drew Emergency Response Near Abingdon

A technical rescue team was called to the Abingdon area Thursday afternoon at a home where a deck collapsed, according to officials.

At 2:56 p.m. on Thursday, the Harford County Technical Rescue Team and the Abingdon Fire Company responded to the 1000 block of Agate Court, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Nobody was trapped, and three people at the scene declined medical treatment, Chenworth said.

There were minor injuries as a result of the incident, the Abingdon Fire Company reported.

As a result of the collapse, a building inspector was called to the location, according to Chenworth.
