Edgewood Man Who Declared 'Love of Jihad' Arrested by FBI: Report
The man is suspected of providing material support to ISIS.

BALTIMORE, MD - An Edgewood man suspected of providing material support to ISIS has been arrested by the FBI, NBC Washington reports. Mohamad Elshinawy was allegedly instructed by ISIS to cause destruction or conduct a terrorist attack in the United States.
NBC reports he received payments from a suspected ISIS operative through Western Union and PayPal.
Elshinawy, who investigators say declared a “love of jihad” had been under investigation since early this year. He reportedly cut off communication with ISIS after he was questioned in July.

He was formally charged Monday in U.S. District Court in Baltimore.
