One Dead in Vehicle Fire on I-95 in Harford County: Officials

A fatal vehicle fire closed three lanes on Interstate 95 Thursday south of MD 24, authorities report.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — One person was killed in a vehicle fire on Interstate 95 Thursday night south of the exit for MD 24, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

The vehicle was fully involved in fire, officials reported just before 10 p.m. One person in the vehicle was deceased, according to Joppa-Magnolia.

The vehicle was a BMW truck/SUV that had one person inside, Maryland State Police told Bel Air Patch.

Only one vehicle was involved in the incident, which officials said was the subject of an ongoing investigation.
