2 Dead in Crash on Route 24: Bel Air Police
A third person in the vehicle survived, police reported.

BEL AIR, MD — Two people died in a single-vehicle crash on MD 24 near Baltimore Pike Saturday afternoon, according to the Bel Air Police Department.
The woman driving the vehicle and a 3-year-old were pronounced deceased, Sgt. Jim Lockard said.
A 16-year-old who was pulled from the vehicle by a bystander survived the crash, he added.

Their names are not being released until next-of-kin notifications have been made.
All lanes of MD 24 were closed at Baltimore Pike, the State Highway Administration reported after 3 p.m.

Police said the area between Baltimore Pike and Boulton Street would be closed for an extended period due to the investigation.
Preliminarily, Lockard said that the vehicle was headed south on MD 24 when it hit a median.
The crash also involved a vehicle fire, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
