Edgewood, MD — Firefighters put out a shed fire in Edgewood Monday evening that authorities said was sparked by a recently used lawn tractor.
At 5:59 p.m. on Monday, a neighbor alerted officials that a 10-by-20 wooden shed was ablaze in the 2400 block of Roth Road, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Approximately 20 firefighters responded to the blaze.
When crews arrived, they found a shed engulfed in flames in the area of Roth at Van Bibber roads, according to Rich Gardiner, spokesman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Within 20 minutes, the fire had been brought under control.
The fire marshal ruled the cause accidental, due to a tractor that ignited objects nearby. There was a total of $10,000 in damage, including items lost inside the shed and $5,000 in damage to the structure itself.
