Townhouse Fire in Bel Air South Under Control: Bel Air VFC

The house fire was reported before 7 p.m. on Friday.

BEL AIR, MD — Firefighters handled a townhouse fire in Bel Air South Friday evening that resulted in one person being medically evaluated at the scene, officials reported.

Crews responded to the home on Temple Drive at 6:50 p.m. and had brought the blaze under control by 7 p.m., according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. He said firefighters from Abingdon and Joppa-Magnolia assisted in the response.

One person received medical attention at the scene; according to Gardiner, her condition was not believed to be life-threatening, and she declined to be transported.

A second call about a house fire near the Festival at Bel Air was determined to be unfounded, Gardiner said.
