Part of US 40 Temporarily Closed for Vehicle Fire: Emergency Officials

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to Monday afternoon vehicle fire near Baltimore-Harford line.

A vehicle fire closed eastbound US 40 in the area of the Baltimore-Harford county line Monday afternoon for approximately 30 minutes, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

At 4:40 p.m., the fire company said that its crew was at the scene of the blaze. Because of the vehicle fire, all lanes of US 40 east were closed in the area of Jones Road, the fire company reported.

By 5:15 p.m., Joppa-Magnolia said that first responders had cleared the scene, where the left lane was blocked for a tow truck.
