Vehicle Fire Clears from Route 24 Ramp

Traffic was backed up on Interstate 95 north at the exit for MD Route 24 for a little less than an hour Wednesday afternoon, according to state transportation officials.

At 4:22 p.m., a vehicle fire was reported on I-95 north at exit 77, the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART) reported.

The area affected was the ramp from I-95 to Route 24, according to CHART. One side of the exit was completely closed as first responders handled the incident.

By 5:15 p.m., traffic cameras showed the incident had cleared and both sections of the Route 24 exit were open.
