Truck Hauling Mangoes Overturned On Beltway, Blocking Lanes
Something you don't hear every day: A truck carrying mangoes overturned on the Capital Beltway in Bethesda Wednesday morning.

BETHESDA, MD — A tractor-trailer hauling mangoes overturned on the Capital Beltway in Bethesda Wednesday morning, blocking several lanes of traffic.
The incident happened around 3 a.m. on the Outer Loop of the Beltway, just after the I-270 split, said Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer. One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

As of 9:45 a.m., recovery efforts blocked two right lanes heading westbound. Commuters could only get by driving in the left two lanes.

All lanes were reopened shortly before 11 a.m., according to transportation officials.
