2 Men Charged in 2 Brutal Murders in PG County

Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Prince George's County Police have arrested two men suspected in two different homicides in the county, both involving multiple gunshot wounds.

Police arrested 40-year-old Kumalo Ealom of Silver Spring on charges of shooting 26-year-old Erik Kelly of District Heights to death on Aug. 1. The Bladensburg Police Department responded to the shooting in the 4600 block of Red Hawk Terrace in Bladensburg, Md. at 12:30 p.m. on that date to find Kelly in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the police report.

Using "investigative techniques," detectives determined Ealom was the shooter and have since arrested him and charged him with first and second degree murder, the report states. He is being held without bond.

Police also arrested 30-year-old Mitchell Hall of Dubois Place in Washington, D.C. in connection with a murder in Temple Hills, Md. back on May 23.

Hall is charged with fatally shooting 30-year-old Hakim Akinbi of 23rd Parkway in Temple Hills. Police responded to the 4400 block of 23rd Parkway at around 1 a.m. on that date to find Akinbi suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, but died from his injuries.

Police believe Hall and Akinbi had been involved in an ongoing dispute.

Hall faces charges of first and second degree murder, and he is being held without bond.
