Officer-Involved Shooting in Bradbury Heights: Police

One suspect is dead and another is in custody after an armed confrontation in the Capitol Heights area, police say.

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in the Bradbury Heights neighborhood in Prince George's County.

The shooting happened in the 4100 block of Byers Street. Officers encountered armed suspects, shots were fired, and officers did CPR on a suspect who died, according to the Prince George's County Police Department's official Twitter account.

Evidence teams recovered weapons, and no officers were injured. A second suspect who tried to flee on foot has been arrested, police say.
