Officer-Involved Shooting in Bradbury Heights: Police

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in the Bradbury Heights neighborhood in Prince George's County.

The shooting happened in the 4100 block of Byers Street. Officers encountered armed suspects, shots were fired, and officers did CPR on a suspect who died, according to the Prince George's County Police Department's official Twitter account.

Evidence teams recovered weapons, and no officers were injured. A second suspect who tried to flee on foot has been arrested, police say.

UPDATE: Authorities have identified the deceased man as 19-year-old Terrence Toshay Thomas Jr. of Capitol Heights. New photos of the scene posted by police are below:
