Victim Identified in Head-On Fatal Crash
A Lanham man died Thursday when his car was hit by a car that reportedly crossed the center line in Laurel, police said.

Authorities have released the name of a Lanham man killed Thursday afternoon in a head-on crash in Laurel.
The victim is 66-year-old Charles Fletcher of Annapolis Road in Lanham, who died at the scene. The fatal crash happened at 12:50 p.m. at Laurel Bowie Road and Loblolly Pine Drive.
Two people in the other vehicle — a woman and a young girl — were both taken to an area hospital. They were not seriously hurt, officials said.

Investigators say Fletcher’s car was northbound on Laurel Bowie Road when another car crossed the center line and struck Fletcher’s car head-on. The other driver and her passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.
No charges have been filed in the case.
