Security Guard Shot at UMUC Inn: Police
Preliminary investigation indicated the shooting was related to a robbery, University of Maryland police said.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A security guard was in critical condition Tuesday morning after a shooting at the UMUC Inn and Conference Center, according to police.
The public was asked to stay away from the area after 2 a.m. as authorities searched for a suspect in what officials said appeared to have been the armed robbery of a business.
Two people were allegedly involved in the crime, and authorities reported having one suspect in custody by 5:30 a.m. At 7:15 a.m., police issued the all-clear after the search of a wooded area did not yield the second suspect.
