Columbia Exxon Robbed at Gunpoint: Police

A man recently robbed a Columbia gas station at gunpoint, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Police said a man with a handgun approached an employee at the Exxon in the 8300 block of Benson Drive and demanded money, then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Nobody was injured in the robbery, which was reported at 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, according to police.

The suspect was described as a 25-year-old black man who was 6’2” tall and of medium build. He was reportedly wearing a black hat and black clothes at the time of the robbery, and his face was partially covered.
