Frisco Tap House and Brewery will host its annual Punktoberfest on Oct. 24. The event will feature one of its new in-house brews—a pumpkin beer—as well as pumpkin infused vodka, and a pumpkin cask that delivers beer.

The brewery will soak a big pumpkin in bourbon for two days, and then use it as a cask to serve Southern Tier Pumpkin beer through it, according to general manger Alex Taylor.

Also, the party will be the first time that brewery staff premiere the beer they brewed in collaboration with Flying Dog brewery, of Frederick, and BrewDog, of Scotland. The process began on Oct. 17 when brewers from BrewDog and Flying Dog came to Frisco's micro-brewery in Columbia to add the ingredients and start the brewing process.

Taylor said it would be an IPA: "We want something that people would be able to have a couple and enjoy them," he said.

He said the collaboration would be sold exclusively at Frisco.

For the party on the Oct. 24, Taylor said Frisco plans to have 20 different pumpkin beers on tap, a well as their own, which they debuted in early October.

About their own beer, Taylor said, "I'll be shocked to find someone who drinks pumpkin beer and isn't satisfied with it."

Frisco first started serving its own Columbia-brewed beer in August after building a small brewery in the front of its restaurant in April.
