We live in a short attention span society. Many suffer with a very short span of attention and inability to be present.
Between the hours most of us spend in front of the television, the time we spend online and on our cell phones, our ability to concentrate is practically under siege on a daily basis.
We will also discuss how Dharana-Yoga Concentration is an approach when one intentionally focuses the attention on only one object, such as breath, mantra or a special word, a body center, or an internally visualized image.
We will practice simple and very helpful yoga techniques to develop sharp concentration. The ability to focus the entire mind's attention toward one thing is a foundation of a successful future meditation practice.
