Crofton Man Faces Drug Charges After $57K Pot Bust
A tip led Annapolis Police to stop Edward Shin's vehicle, and officers reportedly found marijuana inside.

A Crofton man was arrested after a tip led Annapolis Police officers to stop a vehicle and seize 3 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $57,000.
Police made the pot bust on Jan. 7 on Maryland Route 665.
The department received information from another agency about a vehicle involved in illegal drug activity. Officers located the vehicle on Forest Drive and stopped it on Route 665. Police reported they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and a police K-9 gave a positive alert for the presence of illegal drugs.

A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana in the trunk; the estimated street value of the drugs is more than $57,000.
The driver and vehicle’s sole occupant was Edward Shin, 20, of Crofton. He was charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana. Shin was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
