8 Pets Die In Gambrills House Fire: Reports

BREAKING: Anne Arundel County Fire Department crews are battling a house fire in Gambrills, reports say.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Anne Arundel County Fire Department crews battled a house fire on Annapolis Road in Gambrills Friday, according to reports. WJLA TV's helicopter showed smoke coming from the home in the morning.

Fire department officials told WJLA the home was fully engulfed when crews arrived, with several pets inside the burning house. About 35 firefighters are on the scene. Fire officials said four dogs and four cats died in the fire, while one dog survived.

Crews from Bowie Volunteer Fire 39 and Fort Meade Fire & Emergency Services also responded to the fire in the 800 block of Annapolis Road. Flames had engulfed the house when firefighters arrived, reports Mike Hugg Media.
