ALDI Store Holds Job Fair Feb. 14 In Dundalk

DUNDALK, MD — No-frills grocery store Aldi is hosting hiring events in Dundalk and Glen Burnie this week for jobs at Baltimore area stores. Applicants can stop in from 7 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the ALDI located at 2317 North Point Boulevard in Dundalk.

The event offers a chance for prospective employees to apply and ask questions.

Those who can't make it to Dundalk on Wednesday are in luck; there's another hiring event from 7 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, at 6639D Governor Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, according to a news release.

Opportunities within ALDI include store associate and shift manager positions.

The hiring event is in support of the ongoing growth of ALDI in the area, offering customers the ALDI brand promise of high-quality grocery items at impossibly low prices. The company is hiring at the two sessions for its stores in Baltimore, Catonsville, Columbia, Essex, Glen Burnie, Pasadena, Perry Hall, and Rosedale.

ALDI wages and benefits are higher than the national average for the retail industry, the company says.

Positions:

• Store Associate - $12.70 per hour, plus a pay increase after 6 months of employment
• Shift Manager - $12.70 per hour, plus additional $4.50 per hour premium when performing manager duties. Base pay increases after 6 months of employment

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be available to work anytime between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m., Monday - Sunday
• Retail experience preferred
• Drug screening and background check
• Ability to lift 45 pounds

ALDI says its employees average more than 25 hours per week and are eligible for full health insurance benefits and dental coverage. All employees may participate in the 401(k) program. The grocery chain was recently named to the Forbes 2017 list of America's Best Large Employers for the third consecutive year.
