Baltimore County Cop Named National SRO Of The Year
Officer Danielle Moore has received the 2020 NASRO Floyd Ledbetter National School Resource Officer of the Year award.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Baltimore County school resource officer has received the 2020 NASRO Floyd Ledbetter National School Resource Officer of the Year award from the National Association of School Resource Officers. Officer Danielle Moore has been recognized as an SRO who has made "significant contributions" to Baltimore County and the school district.
Baltimore County Police Chief Melissa Hyatt noted that Officer Moore was selected from a nominating pool of more than 14,000 SROs across the U.S.
"It just speaks volumes about your commitment to your job, to your school, to the faculty and staff and to the students that you serve every single day," Hyatt said during an award presentation.

Officer Moore started her career as a police officer with the Baltimore City Police Department in 2007 then joined the Baltimore County Police Department in 2012 where she worked as a patrol officer until she became an SRO in 2018.
