Boat Fire Near Dundalk Sends Three to Hospital: Fire Official

Three people were taken to the hospital following a boat fire near Dundalk Sunday afternoon, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.

The Coast Guard and Baltimore City first responders were called to assist after fire broke out on a boat near Hidden Cove Apartments, Baltimore County Fire Lt. Paul Massarelli reported after 2 p.m.

Crews arrived at the scene to find the boat engulfed by flames, Massarelli said.

There were five people aboard, three of whom were taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, according to Massarelli, who said two others were not transported.

By 2:23 p.m, Baltimore County personnel reported the fire was out.
