Frank Durika, 36, of the 300 block of Nicolson Road in Essex, was pronounced dead at the scene at about 9:34 p.m., Rogers-Feher said.
Durika was attempting to cross northbound North Point Boulevard from the west side of the road to the east side when he was struck by a Chevrolet Impala traveling north on North Point Bouelvard, Rogers-Feher said.

The driver of the car, Crystal LeCompte, 21, of the 7200 block of Stratton Way in Dundalk, saw Durika enter the roadway and tried to swerve to the left, the spokeswoman said.
LeCompte was unable to avoid Durika and struck him with the right front corner of her car.
The impact threw Durika to the east side of North Point Boulevard, where he landed in a concrete storm drain, the spokeswoman said.
No charges have been issued in the crash, which appears to be the result of pedestrian error, Rogers-Feher said.
"To my knowledge, there are no lights and no crosswalks in that area, and he entered the lane," Rogers-Feher said. "It was just a matter of him trying to get from one side of the road to the other."
