Jayden Baldree, 16, was riding her bicycle and killed in a hit-and-run accident. A GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses has drawn $19,940.
DUNDALK, MD — Early Monday morning, 16-year-old Jayden Baldree was riding her bicycle along Northpoint Boulevard near Baltimore Street. A car driving in the same lane struck her from behind and took off. Baldree died at the scene, according to the police department.
Baltimore County police officers found what they believe to be the suspect’s vehicle, a 2005 Acura, abandoned at Baltimore Street and Eastbrook Avenue with its tags removed.
While police officers continue to search for the suspect, Jessica O'Kelley organized a fundraiser on behalf of her brother and sister-in-law to pay for Jayden Baldree's funeral expenses. The goal was $15,000 and as of Thursday, the GoFundMe platform had accrued more than $19,940.
