Closings in Baltimore County for Thursday, January 28

School closings and delays continue Thursday, while transit services resume normal operations.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD – Days after the weekend snowstorm, many schools and offices are operating on modified schedules while Baltimore County works to clear the more than 2 feet of snow that accumulated:

Baltimore County Public Schools are closed on Thursday, Jan. 28, and Friday, Jan. 29.

Recycling pickup is canceled for the week.

Trash collection will occur where possible, and nothing will be picked up from alleys. All three County drop-off centers, including the Eastern Sanitary Landfill in White Marsh, are open with normal operating hours.

Federal offices are opening three hours late on Thursday, Jan. 28, with the option of unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.

Boys’ Latin is opening two hours late on Thursday, Jan. 28, and Friday, Jan. 29.

Bryn Mawr School is opening two hours late on Thursday, Jan. 28, and Friday, Jan. 29.

Friends School is opening two hours late on Thursday, Jan. 28. Parents may use discretion if conditions are unsafe.

McDonogh School is closed on Thursday, Jan. 28. All events and activities Thursday are canceled or postponed. Campus is closed to all vehicular traffic for snow removal.

Roland Park Country School is opening two hours late on Thursday, Jan. 28.

CCBC is opening on schedule. Classes held at Baltimore County Public Schools are canceled.

Goucher College is opening on schedule.

Loyola University is opening on Thursday, Jan. 28. Allow extra time for commuting; check parking conditions.

Stevenson University begins the spring semester on Thursday, Jan. 28, and will operate normally.

Towson University begins the spring semester on Thursday, Jan. 28. Parking regulations and shuttle schedules are modified due to snow. Not all roads have been completely cleared; commuters, allow extra time. Pedestrians, use the main core campus sidewalks and handrails wherever possible on stairs or bridges.

Baltimore County Restaurant Week has been extended until Saturday, Feb. 6.

Business as Usual

Baltimore County government is open on Thursday, Jan. 28.

Baltimore County Public Library branches will be open as scheduled.

Maryland state government offices are open on Thursday, Jan. 28.

Light rail service will operate as usual, with the schedule subject to change depending on track conditions.

MARC will have full service on all three lines on Thursday, Jan. 28.

The MTA has restored all service as of Thursday, Jan. 28.
