Weather Message from Baltimore County Schools

Public schools in Baltimore County will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

School offices will open two hours later than usual, Baltimore County Public Schools officials announced.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Baltimore County until 10 a.m. with up to 0.25-inch ice possible from freezing rain, according to the National Weather Service, which said slippery roads were in the forecast until temps rise to the lower 30s Tuesday morning.

The Maryland State Highway Administration advised there were isolated icy patches on roads, particularly on elevated surfaces, and state transportation officials recommended delaying travel plans.
