COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland has landed its spot in the NCAA men's basketball tournament as the No. 5 seed in the South bracket.
Virginia is one of the four No. 1 seeds in the NCAA March Madness tournament. Other top seed teams: North Carolina, Kansas and Oregon.

The 68 teams set to play in this year's big dance will be named during this year's Selection Show, which began on CBS at 5:30 p.m. EST. This year's selection show will betwo hours long, featuring more analysis and discussion.

According predictions from ESPN's bracketology expertJoe Lunardi, The Kansas Jayhawks are set to be the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament. Lunardi also predicts that the North Carolina Tar Heels, Virginia Cavaliers and Michigan State Spartans will also earn No. 1 seeds in their regions.
The Duke Blue Devils took the prize in last season's tournament, lead by NBA lottery selections Justise Winslow and Jahlil Okafor. The Blue Devils topped Frank Kaminsky and the Wisconsin Badgers in an instant classic.
The first round of the tournament is set to begin on March. 15 with the tournament play-in games. The second round follows shortly thereafter on March 17 and 18. The Final Four is set to begin on April 2.
