Giant, Safeway, Wegmans 4th of July 2016 Store Hours

Find out when Maryland's Wegmans, Harris Teeter, and Costco stores will be open for last-minute barbecue needs.

Annapolis, MD – Maryland residents who forget their lists when shopping for those big 4th of July barbecues can breathe a little easier.

Most food stores in the region – Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Safeway -- are open on the holiday, but check on individual stores for their hours.

One store that isn’t open on Monday: Costco.

Giant, Harris Teeter, and Wegmans all told Patch they intend to open their stores throughout Maryland during normal operating hours on Monday, July 4.

“Our Maryland stores will be open during normal business hours on Independence Day (6 a.m. to midnight),” Valerie Fox of Wegmans told Patch. “Some prepared foods departments may close early or have a limited assortment of offerings available later in the day, depending on business patterns.”

Safeway stores are also open on the holiday, although pharmacy hours may be reduced, so check in advance.

And if you need to make a quick run to the store for swimsuits, pool toys or picnic coolers, both Target and Walmart are open normal hours on July 4.
