Artscape Traffic: Full List of Road Closures
Road closures are in effect around Artscape; find out where to go, and what public transportation is available.
Baltimore, MD — Artscape is in town through Sunday, featuring artists, vendors, exhibits and live music in midtown Baltimore City.
The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts anticipates more than 400,000 people will attend the three-day affair.

Billed as America’s largest free arts festival, Artscape takes place from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 15; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 16; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 17.
Vendors will be set up along Mount Royal Avenue and Cathedral Street, Charles Street, Bolton Hill and Station North.

The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) advises taking public transportation to get there.
- MTA Local Bus Lines to Artscape are numbers 3, 11, 13, 19, 21, 27, 31, 64 and 91.
- Metro Station will be open until midnight, seven days a week.
- MTA Light Rail stop at University of Baltimore and Mount Royal Avenue is at the center of Artscape.
- MARC train weekend service will take people to Penn Station, right at the foot of the Artscape grounds.

The following roads will be closed until Tuesday, July 19:
• 100 block of Dolphin Street between Mt. Royal Avenue and Howard Street – both sides
• Rutter Street from Mt. Royal Avenue to Dolphin Street
• Unit block of West Mt. Royal Avenue
• 1100 - 1600 blocks of West Mt. Royal Avenue from North Avenue to Charles Street (east and west bound)
• 100 block of West Preston Street between Cathedral and Howard streets
• 100 block of West Oliver Street between Maryland and Mt. Royal avenues
The following will be closed until Monday, July 18:
• 1300-1800 blocks of North Charles Street from Preston Street to North Avenue; Charles Street detour is at Biddle Street, local traffic only in the 1200 block of North Charles Street, between Biddle and Preston streets
• East Preston Street from Charles Street to Lovegrove Street (north side curb lane)
• East Mt. Royal Avenue from Charles Street to St. Paul Street (north side); I-83 exit ramp to Mt. Royal Avenue closed; Amtrak parking lot access only at St. Paul and Lanvale streets
• Lafayette Avenue from Maryland Avenue to St. Paul Street; local traffic only for access to gas station and Schuler School
• West Lanvale Street between Rutter Street and Mt. Royal Avenue
• West Lafayette Avenue between Rutter Street and Mt. Royal Avenue; curb lane between Lovegrove and Charles (north side)
• Park Avenue/Biddle Street: closed behind the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, from Howard Street to Cathedral Street
A new traffic pattern will be in use during non-festival hours to allow vehicle access from Penn Drive (Penn Station) to I-83. Right turns on to North Charles are still restricted. This traffic pattern will be in effect from:
• Saturday, July 16, from midnight to 9:30 a.m.
• Sunday, July 17, from midnight to 9:30 a.m.
The following will be closed until Monday, July 18:
• West Preston Street from Maryland Avenue to Cathedral Street; Meyerhoff Symphony Hall garage access only; local traffic only to Cathedral Street
• 1300 block of Cathedral Street from Preston Street to Mt. Royal Avenue; Meyerhoff Symphony Hall garage access only
• 1300-1800 blocks of Maryland Avenue from North Avenue to Preston Street; parking for Fitzgerald Garage only at North Avenue (local traffic should not proceed unless parking in the garage)
• Maryland Avenue ramp off I-83 remains open for Fitzgerald Garage traffic only
• Maryland Avenue will become temporary two-way traffic, from Oliver Street to North Avenue; northbound traffic must turn right at North Avenue
• Intersection of Mt. Royal Avenue and Maryland Avenue
• Falls Road from West Lafayette Avenue to Maryland Avenue
• 100 block of West Lafayette Avenue: will become two-way traffic for vehicles to get in and out of city yards and local businesses
• Park Avenue will become temporary two-way traffic will be installed (next to Meyerhoff Symphony Hall) from Cathedral Street to Symphony Center Garage for festival parking
• Traffic for the Greek Church will be directed off I-83 south to St. Paul Street, right on Preston Street, wrong way on Maryland Avenue – into church parking lot.
