Baltimore County Library Kicks Off Annual Connecting the Community Toy Drive

The drive, which runs through December 7, aims to collect toys that will be donated to various community-based nonprofits.

From Baltimore County Public Library: In an effort to bring excitement and fun to children who are less fortunate this holiday season, Baltimore County Public Library (BCPL) is kicking off its annual Connecting the Community Toy Drive today. The drive, which runs through December 7, aims to collect toys that will be donated to various community-based nonprofits throughout Baltimore County.

The public is invited to leave new, unwrapped toys in the conspicuously displayed decorative boxes at all BCPL locations. As BCPL has 19 locations throughout the county, each branch has chosen a local organization to which its toy donations will be contributed. An event has been created on BCPL’s Facebook page, and contributors are encouraged to post photos of their donations and/or their local branch’s collection box on the page.

“While BCPL strives to provide the gift of opportunity each and every day to the citizens of Baltimore County,” said Director Paula Miller, “it’s exciting to assist in providing children with something special and new for the holidays.”
