Baltimore Ravens to Play in London Games in 2017

One away game in 2017 will be played on another continent for the Baltimore Ravens, the NFL announced.

The Baltimore Ravens will play a road game across the Atlantic Ocean in 2017.

During week three or four of the 2017 season, the Ravens will play the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London.

The matchup is one of four games to be played in London during the 2017 season, the NFL announced Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns will face off at rugby venue Twickenham Stadium and so will the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams.

Playing in London is a "good opportunity," Ravens President Dick Cass told the BaltimoreRavens.com.

The Ravens will be competing for the first time in London, where the NFL said it began holding games in 2007 as viewership of NFL broadcasts there has increased and interest in playing the sport has grown.

Along with the Ravens, the Browns and Cardinals have not ever played in London and will be making their debut in the London games, according to ESPN.

The Ravens-Jaguars London game will take place either Sept. 24, 2017, or Oct. 1, 2017, based on the NFL 2017 schedule, which has not yet been finalized.
