Maryland Weather Forecast: Midweek Sees Record Lows, Temps Warm Up By Weekend
With only five days until the official start of Spring, this week's temperatures are surprisingly bitter.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Winter storm Stella brought school closings, snow emergencies, power outages and the works to Maryland Monday and Tuesday. Finally things calmed down a bit Wednesday, although a wind advisory was issued, and it was so cold it felt like January.
WTOP reports that Wednesday could be a record-low for the DC area. The coldest high temperature on record for March 15 is 32 degrees in 1932, and Wednesday's forecast high was 30.
With only five days until the official start of Spring, this week's temperatures are surprisingly bitter. Thursday will have a high near 37. It will be breezy, but not as bad as Wednesday. There's a slight chance of rain and snow after 3 p.m. Friday to kick off the weekend, and a high near 45.

The weekend will warm us up a little, with a high near 55 Saturday and 48 Sunday. The first day of spring, Monday, looks hopeful with a high near 51.
