Maryland Weather Forecast: Soggy 70s With Early April Showers

SILVER SPRING, MD — Hump Day is expected to be sunny with highs in the mid 60s, according to the area arm of the National Weather Service.

Monday and Tuesday, though? Looks like's it going to be a bit soggy, with the expected showers tempered by highs in the upper 70s.

Monday Night: Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Southeast wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. High near 72. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a chance of showers between 8pm and 2am. Low around 48. North wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. North wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 38.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 57.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 57. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Friday Night: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 46. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 61.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 43.
