Safeway, Walmart, Giant, Harris Teeter, More Grocery Stores Hours On Easter 2017

(Updated at 11:15 p.m. April 15) Cooks with big Easter plans can find deals on ham, chocolate eggs and more at most Maryland grocery stores, even on Sunday, April 16. Most food stores in the region — Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans and Safeway — are open on the holiday, but check on individual stores for their hours.

The folks at Mid-Atlantic locations of Giant, Green Valley Marketplace, Weis, Harris Teeter and Wegmans stores, among others, are open up for business, some with limited hours on Easter Sunday. One store that isn’t open on Sunday: Costco.

Here’s a list of holiday hours for Maryland grocery chains, taken from their websites and emails to Patch.

Easter Sunday Hours:

• Giant Foods: Stores and pharmacies will be open on Easter Sunday, April 16, but operating limited hours. The stores will close at 5 p.m and pharmacies will close at 3 p.m.
• Harris Teeter: Most Harris Teeter locations will operate their regular, posted hours on Easter Sunday.
• Wegmans: Stores will be open regular operating hours, from 6 a.m. to midnight.
• Safeway: Maryland stores will operate regular hours; some are open 24 hours a day, some are open from 5 a.m. to midnight daily.
• Weis Markets: All stores will be open regular hours, which are 6 a.m. to midnight for most stores.
• Green Valley Marketplace: Maryland stores will be open on Easter from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Food Lion: Maryland stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. (depending on the store).
• ShopRite Supermarkets: Maryland stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
• Trader Joes: All stores close at 5 p.m on Easter Sunday.
• MOMs My Organic Market: Stores will be closed on Easter.
• Aldi: All stores are closed on Easter Sunday.

While Walmart stores are open Sunday, some may have reduced hours.
