Maryland Work-Week Weather: Ditch the Overcoats

A delightful Sunday that arrived gift-wrapped for Mother's Day is only the beginning of what's expected to be a stellar beginning to the work week. Not only that, but there's really no immediate end in sight for the glorious conditions.

Monday, during which highs will be in the upper-70s, signals the start of a work week that will feature higher and higher temperatures each day. And the sunshine expected stick around through the rest of the week and beyond. In other words, there's no rain in the work-week forecast.

Sunday Afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. West wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 72. Northwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 51. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 77. West wind 3 to 6 mph.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 88.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.
